The Colour of Your Love

“Love is like the wind, you can’t see it but you can feel it.” – Nicholas Sparks

You may not be able to see love, but you can certainly be seen on Valentine’s Day with your love! February 14th marks the day of lovers, chocolate, flowers, and of course – getting all dolled up for a big night out! Once your dinner reservations have been made, it’s time to have a think about what to wear, who wants a last minute scramble?

While traditionally the colour for Valentine’s Day is red, we really love the soft poetic colours of Winter 2014. Look out for something smouldering in a delicate pink, smoky grey, deep navy, or sweet buttercream white.

Are these light pastel hues not in your palette? Depending on your personal colouring, these hues may be too light and make you feel washed out. A great trick to wear any colour is to accessorize with other elements that are in your colour. Consider pairing a light toned dress or blouse with a blazer in a rich hue to bring out your best tones.

Valentine’s Day falls on a Friday this year. If you’re looking for something smouldering to wear for a date night right after work, try throwing on a short jumper over this season’s hottest silhouette – the peplum. After work lose the sweater and wear your hot little number under a jacket or on its own.

If you’re totally unsure about what colours will make you look your best come in to our studio for a consultation. You can learn all about your best colours and which styles to flatter your figure!

Stay Savvy,
Eve
